The array_slice() Function

The array_slice() function extracts a specific part (slice) from an array and returns it as a new array. The original array remains unchanged. You can specify the starting index, the length of the slice, and whether to preserve the original keys.

EXAMPLE

// EXAMPLE 1: Displaying only the first two cars in the showroom (Pagination)
$all_cars = ["Fiat 500", "BMW M3", "Audi A4", "Fiat Punto", "Mazda 6"];

// Slice from the start (0) and take 2 elements
$display = array_slice($all_cars, 0, 2);

echo "Top offers (first two): \n";
print_r($display);


// EXAMPLE 2: Slicing the last three fruits (negative offset)
$basket = ["Banana", "Strawberry", "Blueberry", "Kiwi", "Pineapple"];
$last_three = array_slice($basket, -3);

// EXAMPLE 3: Slicing while preserving original IDs (keys)
