Resistor Color Code Table and Smart Calculator

When working with Arduino and electronics, you quickly encounter small components with colored rings on them. These are resistors. Since resistors are too small to have numbers printed on them, manufacturers use color codes.

How to read a resistor?

Smart Calculator

Electronics aren't scary if you have the right tools. You don't need to memorize tables if you have a smart tool. With this calculator, you will never ask yourself again: "Is this 4.7 kΩ or 470 Ω?". Simply enter what you see and get the answer. In the field below, you can enter color names (e.g., "yellow violet red") or numbers (e.g., "4 7 2"). The calculator will figure out what you want and calculate the resistance or find the corresponding colors.

Converter (Colors <-> Numbers)

Enter e.g.: yellow violet red OR 4 7 2

Result will be shown here...
